Trick or Treat!

The boys had a fabulous time trick or treating tonight! Colin dressed as an Astronaut and Owen was a Dinosaur. We met up with our awesome new neighbors, Lindsey and Patrick, who have a daughter Kennedy and a son Will that are the same age as our boys. Our neighbor, Suzanne, had the most awesome display of the evening with fog and skeletons!  It was a super fun time and the rain even stopped for 2 hours for us to stay mostly dry!

Happy Halloween!

Lights and Pumpkins!

We had an AWESOME visitor this past week - our dear friend Amy from Ohio. She spoiled us all with gifts and great company. We are sad she left but can't wait until next time we see her!

Some of the fun stuff we did (besides birthday celebrations) included decorating Colin's room with some killer lights and carving a pumpkin. What a great week!

Pirate Party!

The boys celebrated their birthday with a Pirate Party at the house! We invited all the kids from each of their classes, and had a good turnout of kids and parents. Good fun was had by all! Shiver me timbers!

Owen is 3!

Owen is 3! As you can see, he celebrated in style with many gifts and a delicious chocolate peanut butter brownie cake. I can't believe my baby is 3!

Colin turns 6!

Colin is officially 6!  He celebrated for basically a whole week with Owen's birthday a few days later and our friend Amy in town from Ohio... along with his official party on Saturday!  I can't believe he's 6!

Lost Teeth, Fun Run and Fire Engines!

It's been another busy month!

Colin and Owen each had school pictures - here is a preview of what Colin's could look like.  He practiced his scowl that's for sure!

Colin lost both of his front top teeth.  One on October 3rd and one on October 6th.  The tooth fairy was a repeat visitor to our house this week!

Colin's school hosted a fundraising event on October 5th where the kids were challenged to run as many laps around the track in the playground as they could.  Colin did AWESOME and ran/walked 6 laps!  They didn't give the kids unlimited time to run or I know he could have gone further.  The fire truck was on hand to spray water to help cool the kids down!  I volunteered and helped count laps, it was a fun day for all!

This weekend the local fire station had an open house to celebrate fire prevention week.  The kids got free pumpkins and popcorn and got to check out all the gear and lights on the fire engines.  They also got to watch a fire being extinguished by sprinklers.  It was a fun time!

Here is a picture of Owen wearing my fleece.  "Almost" fits, haha.
